Take a look at the new window expo at the Cheap Monday Store in Copenhagen!

Last Thursday we celebrated the arrival of the Cheap Monday S/S 2011 Collection in our Copenhagen Store. People came out for some late night shopping, mini-pizzas and life-size paper dolls (of founder Örjan Andersson & model Kirsten Owen) taken from this seasons Image Campaign. We had a nice hang out with DJ Maria Schluter playing music inspired by the S/S 2011 Fashion Show.

Yesterday was our very own Johan’s birthday! Hurra! Most of the office lunched at an Indian restaurant for a little birthday nan and in the afternoon there was birthday candles and cake. (For those of you living outside Sweden – we had Princess cake – a very tasty, green, traditional dessert)

Business as usual here in the office.  Here is a little sneak peek of the Lookbook Photoshoot for the Menswear Autumn/Winter 2011 Flash Collection.  A little 70s rock, Pukka tea, and even a little cake break made for good vibes in our in-office photo studio – with Photographer Valdemar, Stylists for the day Andy and Gijsje, and model Oskar.

The Autumn/Winter 2011 Flash collection will hit stores in October. But that is ages away!  Lots of fun Spring and Summer to enjoy first!

Our intern Tova had a walk at Södermalm in stockholm and found some nice looking people.

Liselotte is on her way to play some music at the Weekday store at Götgatan.

Our Head of Design Ann-Sofie took a little inspiration detour to New York City recently with our Womenswear Designer Karin and Menswear Designer Peter along for the ride.

Here is a glimpse of what they saw:

One of the first things they experienced was their Hotel, situated in the fashionable Meatpacking District.  Spot The Standard Hotel here – it’s the glass building.

Then they experienced the view from their hotel room.

And then a little inspiration for the tastebuds at The Standard Grill.  Great restaurant and even where our designers had breakfast every day.

We try to keep things pretty professional around the office… most of the time!  Last friday we had a bit too much fun with an iphone app. We mixed up some of the staff’s facial features with those of celebrities. It got a little wierd and very hilarious!  See if you can guess the celebrities…

Designer Karin was at the Sarah Moon exhibition at Stockholm’s Museum of Photography (Fotografiska Museet) last weekend… Here are a few snapshots of what she found most inspiring:

Sarah Moon became one of the first female haute couture photographers in Paris in the 1970s, and has in her career worked with the fashion houses of Chanel, Cacharel and Comme de Garçons.  For you Stockholmers, the exhibition is on until the 17th of April!
